Friendly Staff, unfortunately communication is less than stellar and bordering on deceptive. Transferred from another vet who always included heart worm test, lab work and vaccinations as part of the annual exam. I assumed a wellness exam would include all the same items, at Forney Animal Hospital. Well, you know what happens when we assume. A week after the exam, I received an e-mail stating that my dog was due for a heart worm test. When I received the e-mail , I was sure it was just a mistake or automatically generated email. I called and asked if the heart worm test is not part of their annual exam and was told that it typically is, but their notes showed that I declined it and said that I would come back later for blood work and tests...which I 100% DID NOT. The employee, on the phone, quoted that it would be another $85 plus lab fees to come back and have a heart worm test administered. My previous vet is in Rockwall and not as convenient, but the communication and care were always stellar...so it will be worth the drive in the future to know that my baby is well cared for and that I'm well informed of the care he is getting.
